Nitrofurantoin (100 Mg)

Nitroder 100 SR Tablet is used to treat and prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs), including recurring infections. It contains nitrofurantoin, an antibiotic.

It works by stopping the bacteria that cause UTIs from growing. Take the tablet with food, as prescribed by your doctor, and complete the full course even once you feel better, to help clear the infection completely.

Drinking plenty of fluids can help support treatment of urinary tract infections alongside this medicine.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, or have kidney problems or a history of lung disease, before starting, as this medicine may not suit everyone. Report persistent cough, breathlessness, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Nitroder 100 SR Tablet is used to treat and prevent uncomplicated urinary tract infections, including bladder and kidney infections caused by susceptible bacteria, and to help prevent infections from recurring.

Uses of Nitroder 100 SR Tablet are:

Urinary Tract Infections: Treats bladder and kidney infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
Recurrent UTI Prevention: Helps prevent repeated urinary tract infections, including during pregnancy when advised by a doctor.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water or milk to ease absorption and minimise stomach upset.
Refrain from crushing or chewing the tablet.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.

Nitroder 100sr Tablet 14 is taken orally.

Nitroder 100 SR Tablet may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

A few Common Side Effects of Nitroder 100 SR Tablet:

Digestive: Loss of appetite, feeling sick (nausea), vomiting and loose motions (diarrhoea).
Neurological: Headache, drowsiness and dizziness.
