Nexodec D 30/40 MG Capsule 10 is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers that do not respond to single-medicine therapy. It provides relief from persistent heartburn, sour burps, and the sensation of "heaviness" or bloating after meals. By improving gastric motility and reducing stomach acid, it helps prevent acid from traveling upward and protects the lining of the food pipe from damage.
This capsule contains a combination of Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, and Domperidone, a prokinetic agent. Esomeprazole significantly reduces the production of stomach acid, while Domperidone stimulates the movement of the stomach and intestines. This ensures that food and acid move downward efficiently, reducing the pressure that causes reflux and nausea.
Take this medication on an empty stomach, ideally 30 minutes before your first meal, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not open or chew the capsule; swallow it whole to ensure the medicine is released correctly in the gut. Inform your doctor if you are taking medications for HIV, fungal infections, or if you have a history of bone density issues (osteoporosis).
