Nebistar 2.5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It contains nebivolol, a beta-blocker that helps regulate heart function, and can also help lower the risk of complications such as heart attack, stroke and kidney problems linked to high blood pressure.
It is also used in adults over 70 years of age to manage mild to moderate chronic heart failure, alongside other heart failure medicines. Take it as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Do not stop this medicine suddenly without speaking to your doctor.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol intake all support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any heart, liver or kidney problems, asthma, or are taking other medicines. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report a very slow heartbeat, marked breathlessness or swelling of the ankles to your doctor promptly.
