MPX-CV 625 Tablet is used to manage respiratory infections like pneumonia, ear, nose, and throat infections, skin and soft tissue infections, dental problems, and urinary tract infections. It is also used to treat peptic ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infections and prevent their recurrence.

Follow these instructions while taking MPX-CV 625 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's best taken at the start of a meal to improve absorption and minimise stomach discomfort.

• It's crucial not to crush or chew the tablet.

MPX-CV 625 Tablet is taken orally.

The MPX-CV 625 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (500 mg): As a type of antibiotic known as penicillin, amoxicillin works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. This weakens the cell wall, causing lysis (breaking down) and death of the bacteria.
• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): This component acts as an inhibitor of bacterial β-lactamase enzymes, which some resistant bacteria produce to inactivate amoxicillin. Clavulanic acid binds irreversibly to these enzymes' active sites, thus preventing them from breaking down amoxicillin. This restores amoxicillin's activity against these β-lactamase producing bacteria that are resistant to amoxicillin alone.
