Mosi-D Eye Drops is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial eye infections with associated inflammation. It is also prescribed to control inflammation following ophthalmic surgical procedures when bacterial infection or the risk of bacterial infection is present.
It contains two active ingredients: moxifloxacin (a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic) and dexamethasone (a potent corticosteroid). Moxifloxacin works by eliminating the responsible bacteria, while dexamethasone blocks chemical messengers that trigger inflammation in the eye tissues.
Adhering to correct instillation habits helps ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes. Tilt your head back slightly, pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and place the prescribed number of drops carefully as advised by your healthcare professional.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of viral or fungal eye infections, glaucoma, or are using other eye treatments. To ensure safety, complete the full prescribed course as advised by your doctor, avoid touching the dropper tip, and remove contact lenses prior to use.
