Levocetirizine blocks histamine, the substance that triggers sneezing, itching and a runny nose, while montelukast reduces airway inflammation and prevents the narrowing of airways, together easing both nasal allergy symptoms and airway-related symptoms.
Give this suspension to your child using the measuring cup provided, at the dose your child's doctor prescribes based on age and weight, once daily, usually in the evening.
Tell your child's doctor if your child has kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, since montelukast has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness, so monitor your child after each dose.
