MIDORIGHT 5 TABLET 10 is used for the following:

• Preventing dizziness when standing up

• Reducing lightheadedness due to low blood pressure

• Managing fainting episodes

• Preventing blood pressure drops during position changes

• Improving blood circulation to the brain

• Supporting patients with autonomic nervous system disorders

• Maintaining adequate blood flow to vital organs

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor.

• Take this medicine during daytime hours when you are upright.

MIDORIGHT 5 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

MIDORIGHT 5 TABLET 10 contains midodrine (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 Adrenergic Stimulation: Midodrine is a prodrug that gets converted to its active form called desglymidodrine, which stimulates alpha-1 receptors in blood vessels, causing them to constrict.

• Blood Vessel Constriction: It causes the arteries and veins to narrow, which increases the resistance in the circulatory system and improves blood circulation throughout the body.

• Blood Pressure Elevation: By constricting blood vessels, midodrine raises both systolic and diastolic blood pressure without significantly affecting heart rate, helping maintain adequate blood flow to the brain and other vital organs.

• Blood Pooling Prevention: It prevents excessive pooling of blood in the lower extremities when standing up, which helps reduce dizziness and fainting.
