CompositionXidorin 5 Tablet is used to treat a persistent drop in blood pressure on standing (orthostatic hypotension), reducing the dizziness, lightheadedness and fainting it causes, in people who have not responded to other measures.
It contains midodrine, which raises blood pressure. It works by tightening the blood vessels, which helps keep blood pressure steady when you stand.
Take it during the day as prescribed, and do not take the last dose within about four hours of lying down for the night.
Because it can raise blood pressure while you are lying down (supine hypertension), do not take it just before bedtime, and report a pounding headache, blurred vision or a pounding heartbeat when lying down. Tell your doctor about any heart, kidney or urinary problems before use.
