Metosartan Ch 50/6.25 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing hypertension in adults

• Managing hypertension with fluid retention

• Controlling blood pressure with beta-blocker benefits

Follow these instructions while taking Metosartan Ch 50/6.25 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even if you feel well.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Metosartan Ch 50/6.25 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Metosartan Ch 50/6.25 Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Chlorthalidone (6.25 mg): This diuretic increases the removal of excess water and salt from the body through urine, helping reduce blood volume and pressure.

• Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg): Functions as a beta-blocker that slows down your heart rate by blocking the effects of certain natural chemicals like epinephrine (adrenaline) on your heart and blood vessels.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): Works as an angiotensin II receptor blocker that prevents the hormone angiotensin II from narrowing your blood vessels, allowing them to relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure.
