Menactra Vaccine is administered subcutaneously, which involves injecting it under the skin.

Menactra Vaccine contains the following components:

• Meningococcal Vaccine (Group A, C, Y & W-135) (16 mcg): This component contains polysaccharides from Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135 conjugated to a carrier protein. It stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against these specific meningococcal serogroups, protecting against invasive meningococcal diseases like meningitis and septicemia.
• Diphtheria Toxoid (48 mcg): The diphtheria toxoid acts as a carrier protein that enhances the immune response to the meningococcal polysaccharides. While it does not provide immunity against diphtheria, its inclusion boosts the vaccine's effectiveness by improving the body’s ability to recognise and fight meningococcal infections.

• Keep it away from direct light.
• Ensure the injection is kept out of reach of children.
• Always check the expiration date before use, and do not use the injection if it has expired.

• Maintain a healthy weight by following a balanced diet and exercising regularly.
