Pegclear Oral Solution is used to manage chronic functional constipation and total faecal clearance for pre-surgical or diagnostic bowel preparation. It contains Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) and a balanced electrolyte complex as active ingredients. This medication works by exerting an osmotic action that draws water directly into the intestinal tract to soften hard stools and stimulate regular peristalsis, so follow the exact administration routine advised by your doctor.

• Polyethylene Glycol (13.125 Gm): Polyethylene glycol draws water into the intestines to soften the stool. It increases stool bulk and promotes intestinal movement. It supports smoother evacuation without significant systemic absorption.
   
• Potassium Chloride (0.0466 Gm): Potassium chloride replenishes potassium lost during increased bowel activity. It supports muscle function within the intestinal wall. It maintains normal cellular electrolyte balance during bowel cleansing.
   
• Sodium Bicarbonate (0.1785 Gm): Sodium bicarbonate buffers excess stomach acid and helps maintain pH balance. It stabilises the internal environment of the gut. It supports the comfort of the digestive system during increased fluid movement.
   
• Sodium Chloride (0.3507 Gm): Sodium chloride supports water retention within the intestinal tract. It maintains electrolyte balance during osmotic laxative action. It assists the absorption and distribution of fluids in the digestive system.

• Extended use: 1 or 2 doses per day of 25 ml of solution diluted in 100 ml of water.
• Children aged 2 to 6 years: The Usual starting daily dose is 12.5 ml of solution diluted in 50 ml of water.
• Children aged 7 to 11 years: Usual starting daily dose is 25 ml solution diluted in 100 ml of water or as directed by the Physician.
