Vilfuro 200 Capsule is used for long-term maintenance treatment and symptom control in adults with asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Uses of Vilfuro 200 Capsule are:

• Asthma Maintenance: Controls airway inflammation and prevents wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.
• COPD Symptom Control: Helps keep airways open and improves daily breathing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

• This medicine is for oral inhalation using the supplied inhaler device.

• This capsule should only be removed from the blister pack immediately before use.

• Place the capsule in the device chamber, pierce it by pressing the buttons on the side, inhale the powder deeply, and hold your breath for a few seconds.

• Rinse your mouth after inhalation to minimise the risk of oral fungal infections.

Vilfuro 200 Capsule is inhaled via a suitable inhaler device.

Vilfuro 200 Capsule comprises two active components that work together to manage respiratory conditions:

• Fluticasone furoate (200 mcg): This synthetic corticosteroid binds to glucocorticoid receptors in the lungs. As a result, it suppresses the production of inflammatory mediators such as cytokines and curtails the activity of immune cells. This anti-inflammatory action reduces airway swelling, mucus secretion, and hyperresponsiveness, thus helping to manage respiratory symptoms.

• Vilanterol (25 mcg): Vilanterol stimulates the beta2-adrenergic receptors in the airways, resulting in the relaxation of smooth muscles and bronchodilation. With a rapid onset and extended duration of action, vilanterol provides sustained relief from bronchospasms, aiding in easier breathing.

• Store Vilfuro 200 Capsule in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat.

• Do not remove the capsule from its original packaging until just before use.

• Always keep this medication out of reach of children.

• Use the capsules within 6 weeks of opening the foil package.

• Remember to check the expiry date before use.
