CompositionLizomac Tablet is used to treat serious bacterial infections that have not responded to other antibiotics, including infections of the lungs (pneumonia), skin, soft tissues, and bloodstream. It is used when other antibiotics have not been effective.
This tablet contains linezolid, a strong antibiotic used for resistant bacterial infections. Swallow the tablet whole and take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take it at the same time each day, with or without food. Complete the full course even if you feel better, as stopping early may allow the infection to return and develop resistance.
Infection recovery requires rest and good nutrition. Get adequate rest to help your body fight the infection, eat nutritious foods to boost your immune system, drink plenty of water to help flush toxins from your body, and avoid smoking and alcohol which can weaken your immunity. Maintain good personal hygiene to prevent spreading infection to others.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, thyroid disease, kidney problems, or if you are taking other medicines. Tell your doctor if you develop severe headache, difficulty breathing, or unusual bleeding. This medicine may interact with many foods and medicines, so consult your doctor before taking anything else. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
