CompositionLipi EZ 40 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol in adults who require additional LDL-cholesterol lowering beyond what a statin alone can achieve. Atorvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver while ezetimibe reduces cholesterol absorption in the gut, providing complementary mechanisms for LDL-cholesterol reduction.
It contains atorvastatin 40mg and ezetimibe 10mg. Take it as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food. Avoid grapefruit juice, which can affect atorvastatin blood levels. Regular liver function and lipid profile monitoring are recommended.
A heart-healthy diet low in saturated fat, regular physical activity, stopping smoking, and limiting alcohol all support the lipid-lowering benefits of this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems, muscle conditions, kidney disease, thyroid problems, or other medicines. Report any unexplained muscle pain, weakness, or brown discolouration of urine promptly, as these may indicate a serious muscle condition. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
