Lipi EZ 40 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol in adults who need more LDL-cholesterol lowering than a statin alone can achieve. It is a combination medicine containing atorvastatin (a statin) and ezetimibe (a cholesterol absorption inhibitor).
Together they lower LDL cholesterol more than either alone. Take it with or without food, at the same time each day, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when your cholesterol levels improve.
Choose a diet low in saturated fat, with less ghee, butter and fried snacks and more vegetables, fruit and dal. Regular exercise, a healthy weight and quitting smoking also help.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, which can rarely signal a serious muscle problem. It is not suitable in pregnancy, and your doctor may check your liver function from time to time. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
