Levomac I.V. Infusion is used to treat a range of bacterial infections, including community-acquired pneumonia, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and prostatitis. It contains levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial growth and replication.
Apart from the main use, it also helps manage other conditions such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections (UTIs), sinusitis, prostatitis, skin and soft tissue infections, and post-exposure inhalational anthrax. It's sometimes used off-label for bronchitis, endocarditis, certain STDs, salmonella, shigella, and tuberculosis.
