Levoflox 250 Tablet is used to treat mild to moderate bacterial infections of the lungs, sinuses, urinary tract, kidneys, skin, and prostate. It is also used to reduce the risk of inhalation anthrax following exposure.
It contains levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacteria from multiplying, allowing your immune system to clear the infection. Take it with or without food, with a full glass of water, and complete the full prescribed course, even if you feel better.
Avoid taking antacids, calcium, or iron supplements within two hours of this medicine, as they can reduce its effectiveness. Stay well hydrated, and limit prolonged sun exposure, as this medicine can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of tendon problems, epilepsy, kidney disease, or heart rhythm problems before starting. Stop the tablet and tell your doctor right away if you notice pain or swelling in a tendon, as this can rarely occur.
