Lenalimide 10Mg Capsule 10

LENALIMIDE 10MG CAPSULE 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of multiple myeloma in adults

• Managing myelodysplastic syndromes with deletion 5q abnormality

• Treating transfusion-dependent anaemia in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes

• Managing mantle cell lymphoma after prior therapies

• Treatment of blood cancers resistant to other medicines

• Controlling cancer cell growth in blood disorders

Follow these instructions while taking LENALIMIDE 10MG CAPSULE 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not break, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Take this medicine at approximately the same time each day.

• You may take this medicine either with or without food.

LENALIMIDE 10MG CAPSULE 10 is taken orally.

LENALIMIDE 10MG CAPSULE 10 contains lenalidomide (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Anti-Neoplastic Activity: Lenalidomide directly prevents the growth of cancer cells by triggering a process called apoptosis (programmed cell death) and inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels that feed tumours.

• Immune System Modulation: It enhances the activity of T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells, which are important components of your immune system that help fight cancer cells.

• Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Lenalidomide inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines, which are proteins that can promote inflammation and cancer growth in the body.

• Blood Cell Production Regulation: In myelodysplastic syndromes, it suppresses abnormal blood cell production while promoting the development of normal red blood cells, helping to reduce the need for blood transfusions.

• Store at room temperature (20°C to 25°C).

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect from light and moisture.

• Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you have multiple myeloma or myelodysplastic syndrome, wash your hands frequently and avoid crowds during treatment, as lenalidomide may lower your white blood cell count (neutropaenia).

• Include foods like leafy greens, beans, and lean meats in your diet to help manage anaemia, which is common in myelodysplastic syndromes.
