Ketorol Injection is used for the short-term relief of moderate to severe pain, such as pain after surgery, from injuries, or in acute musculoskeletal conditions. It contains ketorolac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID).
Ketorolac works by reducing inflammation, which helps control acute pain, particularly after surgical procedures, by blocking the chemicals in the body that cause pain and swelling.
This injection is given into a vein or muscle by a healthcare professional, at the dose and frequency your doctor determines, and is generally used only for a short course of a few days.
Tell your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, kidney problems, or a bleeding disorder, as this medicine needs caution in these conditions. This medicine is not suitable for long-term use, and your doctor will switch you to an alternative pain reliever once short-term use is complete.
