CompositionKetasma Tablet is used to help prevent the symptoms of long-term allergic conditions such as asthma and allergic rhinitis, reducing sneezing, itching and nasal congestion over time. It is for prevention, not for a sudden asthma attack.
It contains ketotifen, an antihistamine that also stabilises the cells that release allergy chemicals. It works by lowering the body's sensitivity to allergens.
Take it regularly as prescribed. It can take a few weeks of regular use to work fully, so keep taking it even before you feel the benefit.
Tell your doctor about any epilepsy before use. It commonly causes drowsiness, especially at first, so take care with driving, and it can increase appetite and weight.
