Kelfer 500 Capsule is a medicine used to treat chronic iron overload caused by repeated blood transfusions, such as in conditions like thalassaemia. It helps remove excess iron from the body and reduces the risk of organ damage from iron build-up.

It contains deferiprone, an iron-chelating agent. Take it with food, at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor advises, and do not stop before completing the full course.

Staying well hydrated and eating a balanced diet support the body during long-term iron chelation therapy. Your doctor may recommend regular blood tests to monitor your iron levels and blood counts.
