Keflor Strawberry Flavour Suspension 10Ml

Keflor Drops are used in children to treat bacterial infections by stopping bacterial growth.

Uses of Keflor Strawberry Flavour Suspension 10ml are:

• Respiratory and ENT Infections: Treats infections of the ear, throat and respiratory tract.
• Pneumonia and Bronchitis: Manages bacterial pneumonia and bronchitis.
• Urinary and Skin Infections: Clears bacterial urinary tract and skin infections.

Administer Keflor Drops to your child in the following way:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Use the provided dropper to measure the exact dose prescribed by your child's doctor.

• Squeeze out the liquid directly into your child's mouth, taking care not to exceed the recommended dose.

• After use, wash the dropper with clean drinking water and replace it with its cover.

• Store any remaining drops at room temperature, protected from light and moisture.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice regarding dosage and duration of treatment.

Keflor Drops is given orally.

Keflor Drops contain cefaclor (50 mg), which acts on your child's body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Bacterial Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefaclor works by blocking bacterial cell wall synthesis. The cell wall is vital for bacteria's survival as it maintains their shape and protects them from their environment.
• Leads to Cell Lysis: By inhibiting cell wall synthesis, cefaclor causes the bacteria's cells to burst open, or "lyse." This leads to the death of susceptible bacteria, helping manage the infection in your child.

These actions contribute to Keflor Drops' effectiveness in managing various bacterial infections in infants and children.

• Store Keflor Drops at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the product in a tightly closed container, away from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep Keflor Drops out of the reach of children.

• Before giving this medicine to your child, make sure to check the expiry date.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. This will help prevent dehydration if your child experiences diarrhoea, a possible side effect of Keflor Drops.

• If your child is prescribed Keflor Drops for a respiratory infection, try to keep them away from smoke and dust. These can irritate their lungs and worsen their symptoms.
