Itrostred-200 Capsule is used to treat fungal infections of the mouth, throat, toenails, fingernails, and lungs. It controls systemic fungal infections like aspergillosis, candidiasis, and cryptococcosis. The capsule also manages skin and nail infections caused by dermatophytes, reduces oral thrush and esophageal candidiasis, and treats fungal eye infections and pulmonary aspergillosis.

Follow these instructions while taking Itrostred-200 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or crush the capsule.
• Always take this capsule during a full meal for optimal absorption.
• If you have a condition called achlorhydria or if you are on acid-suppressing medications, take this capsule with an acidic beverage like cola.
• Consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine.

Itrostred-200 Capsule contains itraconazole (200 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits Enzyme Production: Itraconazole acts by blocking an enzyme called lanosterol 14α-demethylase in the fungus. This specific enzyme is crucial for making ergosterol, a key substance that forms part of the cell membrane in fungi.
• Damages Fungal Cell Membrane: By inhibiting the production of ergosterol, itraconazole disrupts and weakens the fungal cell membrane. This causes the contents within fungal cells to leak out leading to their death and helping clear up the infection.

• Store Itrostred-200 Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.
• Keep away from excessive moisture and direct light to maintain the capsule's effectiveness.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children for their safety.
• Make sure you use the capsules before the printed expiry date.

• If you are managing a fungal infection with Itrostred-200 Capsule, avoid wearing tight or synthetic clothing. Opt for loose, breathable fabrics to reduce moisture and prevent fungal growth.
• Maintain good personal hygiene. Regularly wash and dry your skin, particularly in areas prone to fungal infections such as feet, groin, and underarms. This can help control the spread of fungi and support recovery.
