Itrostred Gel 15Gm

Itrostred Gel 15gm is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm and athlete's foot, yeast infections of the skin including candidiasis, and seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Uses of Itrostred Gel 15gm are:

• Fungal Skin Infections: Treats ringworm and athlete's foot.
• Skin Yeast Infections: Treats candidiasis of the skin.
• Seborrhoeic Dermatitis: Helps manage this oily, flaky skin condition.

You should use Itrostred Gel 15gm in the following way: 

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
• Cleanse the affected area of the skin gently and pat it dry.
• Take a small amount of the gel on your fingertips.
• Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area and gently massage it into the skin.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, or broken skin.
• Use the gel as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
• Consult your doctor for specific advice on how often to apply the gel and for how long.

Itrostred Gel 15gm contains the following component:

• Itraconazole (1 %): Itraconazole is an azole antifungal that disrupts the production of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption weakens the cell membrane, making it more susceptible to damage. By blocking ergosterol production, itraconazole stops fungal growth. Without a stable membrane, fungi lose structural integrity and struggle to reproduce. Itraconazole also interferes with various enzymes and cellular processes, impairing essential functions and ultimately leading to the death of the fungal cell.

The storage instructions for Itrostred Gel 15gm are as follows:

• Store this gel at room temperature, around 25°C, and protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medication once it has passed its expiry date.

• Regularly change your socks, wash your feet, and choose shoes that keep your feet cool and dry.
• Avoid walking barefoot in damp areas such as locker rooms and gym showers to prevent fungal infections.
• Refrain from scratching the affected skin to prevent the spreading of the infection.
• Do not share towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes, or socks with others.
• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly to keep them clean and free from fungal spores.
