Inderal 20 Tablet is used in adults to treat high blood pressure, prevent angina and migraine, control certain irregular heart rhythms and reduce physical symptoms of anxiety and tremor.

Uses of Inderal 20 Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure (Hypertension): Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Angina (Chest Pain): Helps prevent chest pain by reducing the heart's workload.
• Irregular Heart Rhythms: Helps slow and control certain fast or irregular heartbeats.
• Migraine Prevention: Reduces how often migraine attacks happen when taken regularly.
• Tremor and Anxiety Symptoms: Eases shaking and physical symptoms of anxiety such as a pounding heart.

Use Inderal 20 Tablet as follows:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Don't chew or crush it.
• You can take it with or without food.
• Make sure you take this medicine around the same time every day for optimal results.
• It's crucial not to stop taking Inderal 20 Tablet without consulting your doctor first.

Inderal 20 Tablet consists of Propranolol (20mg). Here's how it works:

• Blocks beta adrenergic receptors: Propranolol competes with certain chemicals in your body (sympathomimetic neurotransmitters) for binding at beta(1)adrenergic receptors in your heart and beta(2)receptors in bronchial and vascular smooth muscle.
• Reduces cardiac workload: By blocking these receptors, propranolol reduces your heart rate, contractility, and cardiac output. This means that your heart doesn't have to work as hard and doesn't need as much oxygen.
• Inhibits vasodilation: In your blood vessels, propranolol prevents them from widening (vasodilation). This helps reduce the volume of blood that your heart has to pump.
• Suppresses renin release: Propranolol also suppresses the release of renin from your kidneys, resulting in less angiotensin II formation. This means there's less vasoconstriction (tightening of blood vessels), which helps lower your blood pressure.
