Provanol 20 Tablet is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), and certain irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). It is also used to prevent migraine headaches and manage essential tremors.
It contains propranolol, a beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the workload on the heart. Take it as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly can cause your heart rate and blood pressure to rise sharply.
Reducing salt intake, staying physically active as advised by your doctor, limiting alcohol, and managing stress can help support blood pressure and heart health while taking this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a slow heart rate, or any heart or breathing problems. Do not stop this medicine suddenly without your doctor's advice. Inform your doctor if you notice unusual tiredness, cold hands and feet, or breathing difficulty.
