Idrofos 150 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of postmenopausal osteoporosis

• Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis

• Increasing bone mass density

• Reducing the risk of bone fractures

• Strengthening weakened bones

• Prevention of skeletal complications in breast cancer

• Managing bone metastases from breast cancer

• Preventing bone complications requiring radiotherapy

• Preventing pathological fractures in cancer patients

Follow these instructions while taking Idrofos 150 Tablet:

• Take this medicine first thing in the morning after waking up.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water.

• Take this medicine on the same date each month.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Idrofos 150 Tablet is taken orally.

Idrofos 150 Tablet contains ibandronic acid (150 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Osteoclast Inhibition: Ibandronic acid suppresses the activity of osteoclasts, which are cells responsible for breaking down and resorbing bone tissue. This helps slow down the rate of bone loss in your body.

• Bone Resorption Reduction: By inhibiting osteoclasts, this medicine decreases the process of bone resorption, allowing the bone-building cells (osteoblasts) to rebuild bone more effectively.

• Bone Density Improvement: The medicine increases bone mass density (BMD) by creating a better balance between bone breakdown and bone formation processes in your body.

• Fracture Risk Reduction: By strengthening bones and improving their density, ibandronic acid helps lower the risk of bone fractures, particularly in the spine and hip areas.

• Store Idrofos 150 Tablet at room temperature, in a dry place.

• Calcium-rich foods: Include dairy products, leafy green vegetables, and fortified foods to support bone health alongside osteoporosis medicine.

• Weight-bearing exercise: Regular activities like walking, dancing, or gentle resistance training can help strengthen bones and improve balance, reducing your risk of falls and fractures.
