Hypernil 5 Tablet 15 is used for managing the following health conditions:

• High blood pressure in adults.

• Heart failure, a serious condition where the heart doesn't pump blood as well as it should, leading to symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue.

Follow these instructions while taking Hypernil 5 Tablet 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It can be taken with or without food, as per your preference.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Hypernil 5 Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Hypernil 5 Tablet 15 contains lisinopril (5 mg), which works on your body through the following mechanisms:

• Inhibition of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme: Lisinopril acts by blocking the activity of an enzyme in your body called angiotensin-converting enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for converting a substance called angiotensin I into another substance known as angiotensin II.

• Reduction of Blood Pressure: Angiotensin II narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. By inhibiting the formation of angiotensin II, lisinopril helps relax blood vessels, which reduces the stress on your heart and lowers blood pressure.

• Decrease in Aldosterone Secretion: Lisinopril also reduces the secretion of a hormone called aldosterone from the adrenal cortex in your body. This action can lead to a slight increase in serum potassium levels, promoting better electrolyte balance.
