CompositionGolbi 300 Tablet is used to help dissolve small cholesterol gallstones in adults with a functioning gallbladder, to manage primary biliary cholangitis (a chronic autoimmune liver disease), and to support liver function in cholestatic liver conditions.
It contains ursodeoxycholic acid (300 mg), a naturally occurring bile acid that decreases cholesterol levels in bile and protects liver cells against toxic bile salts. Take it as prescribed with food or milk. Treatment usually extends over several months to a year depending on stone size and response.
Maintaining a balanced diet low in saturated fats, avoiding rapid weight reduction, avoiding alcohol, and keeping regular medical appointments support effective liver and gallbladder management.
Tell your doctor if you have severe acute gallbladder inflammation, bile duct obstruction, or chronic active liver disease before taking this medicine. Report any yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) or severe abdominal pain to your doctor immediately.
