Glycomet-GP 2/850 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage blood sugar levels:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): This component belongs to the sulfonylurea class of antidiabetic medicines. It works by stimulating the pancreas to secrete more insulin, which helps to lower blood glucose levels. By binding to specific receptors on the pancreatic beta cells, glimepiride prompts them to release insulin. • Metformin (850 mg): Classified as a biguanide antidiabetic agent, metformin acts through several mechanisms.
