It contains glimepiride, pioglitazone, and metformin. Glimepiride stimulates insulin secretion, pioglitazone improves peripheral insulin sensitivity, and metformin reduces liver glucose production. Take it as prescribed with meals to reduce the risk of stomach upset. Continue taking it regularly as advised, and monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
Lifestyle management is an essential part of your treatment plan. This includes eating a balanced diet with controlled carbohydrate distribution, performing regular exercise, managing body weight, and recognizing low blood sugar symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of heart failure, liver or kidney disease, or bladder problems. Watch for signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) such as trembling, sweating, fast heart rate, or dizziness, and always carry a source of glucose. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
