Glomela Cream is used for managing moderate to severe melasma on the face, and assisting in the reduction of dark, discoloured skin patches associated with this condition.

To use Glomela Cream effectively, follow these instructions:

• Clean and dry your face before application.

• Apply a pea-sized amount of cream to the affected areas as directed by your doctor.

• Spread the cream gently over the areas with melasma, avoiding your eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes.

• Do not apply to skin that is inflamed, infected or has open wounds.

Glomela Cream contains three active ingredients that work together to manage the symptoms of melasma:

• Hydroquinone (2%): Known as a tyrosinase inhibitor, hydroquinone decreases the production of melanin, which is responsible for skin colour. Hence, it helps lighten the dark patches associated with melasma.

• Tretinoin (0.025%): This component belongs to the class of medicines known as retinoids. It promotes skin cell turnover and renewal, helping to exfoliate the skin and gradually fade hyperpigmented areas. It also enhances the penetration and effectiveness of the other active ingredients.

• Fluocinolone acetonide (0.01%): This is a mild corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and irritation in the affected skin areas. By doing so, it helps prevent the formation of dark patches.

• Store Glomela Cream in a cool, dark place.

• Avoid storing it in direct sunlight and keep it away from excessive heat.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed when not in use to prevent air exposure.

• Always keep Glomela Cream out of reach of children.

• As Glomela Cream is used to manage melasma, avoid excessive sun exposure. When you are outdoors, wear protective clothing and use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

• Incorporate foods rich in antioxidants into your diet such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Antioxidants can help protect your skin from damage and may aid in managing melasma.
