Cutilite Microemulsion Cream is primarily used for managing melasma, a skin condition causing dark patches on the face. It combines hydroquinone, tretinoin and mometasone, three active ingredients from the category of topical skin-lightening and anti-inflammatory agents.
Hydroquinone reduces melanin production, tretinoin speeds up skin cell turnover to fade pigmentation and improve texture, and mometasone, a corticosteroid, helps calm the irritation the other two ingredients can cause.
Apply a thin layer to the affected areas of the face only, once daily at night as your doctor directs, and use for the shortest period needed, since prolonged use of this triple combination is not recommended.
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and limit sun exposure, as treated skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight and pigmentation can worsen without protection. Avoid use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, and tell your doctor if you notice persistent redness, thinning skin or worsening irritation.
