• Renal function impairing medications: Medicines like cimetidine, which affect kidney function, may increase the risk of lactic acidosis when co-administered with metformin, a component of Glimy M1 Tablet.

• Hyperglycemia-inducing medicines: Medicines such as thiazides, corticosteroids, and phenytoin can increase blood sugar levels and thereby reduce the effectiveness of Glimy M1 Tablet in controlling glucose levels.

• Beta-blockers: These medicines can hide symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and delay recovery from a hypoglycemic episode.

• Hypoglycemia potentiating medications: Some medications, such as salicylates, sulfonamides, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors, can enhance the blood sugar-lowering effect of glimepiride, a component of Glimy M1 Tablet.

High-fibre foods: Foods rich in fibre may decrease the absorption and effectiveness of metformin in Glimy M1 Tablet.

• Severe renal impairment: This medication is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease as it could worsen their condition.

• Diabetic ketoacidosis: As an oral antidiabetic medication, Glimy M1 Tablet is not suitable for managing this acute complication of diabetes.

• Metabolic acidosis: Patients with this condition should not use Glimy M1 Tablet as it may exacerbate their symptoms.

The daily dose of Glimy M1 Tablet is as recommended by your doctor. It depends on individual factors, such as the condition's severity and your response to treatment. It's crucial to adhere to the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without your doctor's guidance.
