• Valproic acid/divalproex sodium: Meropenem can substantially reduce valproic acid concentrations, which may result in loss of seizure control. Concurrent use is generally not recommended, and alternative antibacterial or anticonvulsant treatment may be considered.
• Probenecid: Probenecid reduces the renal elimination of meropenem and can increase its blood concentration and duration of action. Concurrent use is generally not recommended.
• Other medicines that may lower the seizure threshold: Concurrent use may increase the risk of seizures, particularly in patients with neurological disorders or impaired kidney function.

Germero 1g Injection 1 may interact with the following diseases or conditions:

• Seizure disorders: Meropenem may increase the risk of seizures, particularly in patients with pre-existing central nervous system disorders.
• Brain lesions or other central nervous system disorders: Patients with underlying neurological abnormalities may have a greater risk of neurological adverse effects.
• History of severe beta-lactam allergy: Patients with previous serious hypersensitivity reactions to penicillins, cephalosporins or other beta-lactam antibiotics may have an increased risk of an allergic reaction.
• Gastrointestinal disease, particularly colitis: Antibiotic treatment can alter normal intestinal flora and may cause Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhoea, including severe colitis.
