CompositionGatilox 0.3% Eye Drops are used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other bacterial infections of the eye. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing gatifloxacin, and belongs to a class of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
This medicine works by stopping bacteria from multiplying, helping reduce redness, grittiness and sticky discharge caused by the infection.
Apply the drops into the affected eye as prescribed, usually every few hours at first and then less often, using clean hands and avoiding contact between the dropper tip and the eye.
Tell your doctor if you have any known allergy to fluoroquinolone antibiotics before using this medicine. Report any severe eye pain, worsening redness, or vision changes that persist after applying the drops.
