Fertolet Tablet 5 is used to treat hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Uses of Fertolet Tablet 5 are:

• Early Breast Cancer: Treats hormone-receptor-positive early breast cancer after menopause.
• Continued Treatment After Tamoxifen: Used as ongoing treatment in women who have already completed tamoxifen therapy.
• Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer: Manages locally advanced or metastatic hormone-sensitive breast cancer, including after anti-oestrogen therapy.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
• It's essential not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Fertolet Tablet 5 is taken orally.

Fertolet Tablet 5 contains letrozole (2.5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Aromatase Inhibition: Letrozole blocks an enzyme called aromatase in the body. This enzyme produces estrogen, a hormone that can stimulate the growth of certain types of breast cancer cells.
• Increased Fertility Hormones: In cases of infertility due to anovulation, the reduction in estrogen levels prompts the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland. These hormones assist in stimulating the ovaries to produce eggs and promote ovulation.
