Ferikind S 100 Injection is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia in adults who cannot tolerate oral iron supplements or need a rapid increase in iron levels, such as people on dialysis or recovering from major surgery.
It contains iron sucrose, given directly into the bloodstream by a doctor to support haemoglobin production and red blood cell formation. The dose is decided by your doctor based on the severity of your anaemia and your individual needs.
Eating iron-rich foods such as leafy greens, and having vitamin C-rich foods alongside meals, can support iron levels alongside this treatment. Regular blood tests help your doctor track your progress.
Before this injection is given, tell your doctor about any history of allergic reactions, liver problems, or infections. Your doctor will monitor you during and after the injection for any signs of an allergic or infusion-related reaction.
