Ezentia Tablet 10

Ezentia Tablet is used to lower raised cholesterol in adults, including inherited high cholesterol, either on its own or alongside a statin.

Uses of Ezentia Tablet are:

• High Cholesterol: Lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol when diet alone is not enough.
• Familial Hypercholesterolaemia: Helps manage inherited high cholesterol.
• Combination with a Statin: Gives additional cholesterol lowering when used with a statin.

Follow these instructions while taking Ezentia Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Make sure you follow your doctor's instructions on dosage and duration.

• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one.

Ezentia Tablet contains Ezetimibe (10 mg) which works on your body in the following ways:

• Blocks NPC1L1 Protein: Ezetimibe acts by blocking a protein in your small intestine called the Niemann-Pick C1-Like 1 (NPC1L1). This protein is responsible for absorbing cholesterol from your diet and bile.

• Reduces Blood Cholesterol: By blocking the NPC1L1 protein, ezetimibe reduces the absorption of cholesterol in your small intestine. This results in less cholesterol being delivered to your liver from the intestine, which in turn makes the liver draw more cholesterol from your blood, effectively lowering your blood cholesterol levels.

• Store Ezentia Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture.
