Ezentia Tablet is used for the following:

• Lowering high cholesterol levels in the blood

• Managing familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic condition causing high cholesterol

• Reducing the risk of heart disease

• Lowering the chances of experiencing chest pain, known as angina

• Decreasing the likelihood of strokes and heart attacks

Follow these instructions while taking Ezentia Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Make sure you follow your doctor's instructions on dosage and duration.

• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one.

Ezentia Tablet contains Ezetimibe (10 mg) which works on your body in the following ways:

• Blocks NPC1L1 Protein: Ezetimibe acts by blocking a protein in your small intestine called the Niemann-Pick C1-Like 1 (NPC1L1). This protein is responsible for absorbing cholesterol from your diet and bile.

• Reduces Blood Cholesterol: By blocking the NPC1L1 protein, ezetimibe reduces the absorption of cholesterol in your small intestine. This results in less cholesterol being delivered to your liver from the intestine, which in turn makes the liver draw more cholesterol from your blood, effectively lowering your blood cholesterol levels.
