Etoford 90 Tablet is a medicine used to provide relief from pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and acute gout attacks. It is also used for short-term management of moderate pain following dental surgery in adults.
It contains etoricoxib, which belongs to a group of medicines known as selective COX-2 inhibitors. Take it as prescribed with or without food. Continue taking it for the duration recommended by your doctor, as stopping early may cause pain and inflammation to return.
Lifestyle measures can support joint health alongside treatment. These include maintaining a healthy weight to reduce joint stress, engaging in low-impact physical activity as advised by your doctor, and applying cold or warm compresses to affected joints to help ease discomfort.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of high blood pressure, heart disease, stomach ulcers, kidney problems, or liver disease. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor right away if you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, severe stomach pain, or dark stools.
