ERITEL 80 AM TABLET 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults and to control chest pain caused by chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina.

ERITEL 80 AM TABLET 10 consists of two active ingredients that work together in your body:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This ingredient is a calcium channel blocker. It functions by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions into the smooth muscle cells lining your blood vessels and heart. This action results in relaxation and widening of your blood vessels (vasodilation), reducing the resistance against which your heart needs to pump blood and lowering your blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (80 mg): This component is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It specifically binds to a receptor subtype called AT1 in your body. By blocking the effect of angiotensin II – a substance that constricts your blood vessels and releases a hormone called aldosterone – telmisartan promotes relaxation and widening of your blood vessels (vasodilation) and reduces aldosterone-induced water retention. These actions collectively lower your blood pressure.
