Eltroxin 12.5mcg Tablet 60 is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) by replacing the thyroid hormone the body lacks, restoring normal energy, metabolism and mood, and it is used to help manage goitre.

It contains levothyroxine (thyroxine), a thyroid hormone. It works by replacing the hormone the thyroid gland is not making enough of.

Take it once a day on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before your first meal, at the same time each day. Do not stop it without medical advice, as it is usually a lifelong treatment.

Tell your doctor about any heart problems, diabetes or other medicines before use. Regular blood tests guide the dose. A rapid heartbeat, sweating, shaking or weight loss can mean the dose is too high, so report these promptly.

Eltroxin 12.5mcg Tablet 60 is used to treat hypothyroidism in adults and children, including as a low starting dose for gradual titration, and to help manage goitre.

Hypothyroidism: Replaces or supplements thyroid hormone in an underactive thyroid.

Swallow one whole tablet with a full glass of water.
