Dytor 100 Tablet 10

Dytor-100 Tablet is used to manage fluid retention (oedema) caused by heart failure, kidney disease or liver disease, and to manage high blood pressure in adults, either alone or with other blood pressure medicines.

Uses of Dytor-100 Tablet are:

• Fluid Retention: Helps reduce swelling caused by heart failure, kidney disease or liver disease.
• Hypertension: Helps manage and control high blood pressure.

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Dytor-100 Tablet is taken orally.

Dytor-100 Tablet contains torsemide (100 mg), which works in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Inhibits Sodium/Potassium/Chloride Co-Transporter: Torsemide acts within a part of the kidneys called the loop of Henle. It blocks a system that helps transport sodium, potassium and chloride ions, leading to increased excretion of these electrolytes along with water.

• Increases Urine Production: By reducing the reabsorption of sodium in the kidneys, torsemide enhances urine output. This action helps remove excess fluid from the body which contributes to reducing swelling caused by fluid retention.

• Store Dytor-100 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• The medicine should be kept away from direct light and moisture.

• Keep it out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date and ensure to use the medicine before it expires.

• Maintain a low-sodium diet: High salt intake can exacerbate fluid retention and increase blood pressure, conditions which Dytor-100 Tablet helps to manage. Try to reduce your consumption of processed foods, which often contain high levels of sodium.

• Stay properly hydrated: As Dytor-100 Tablet increases urine production, it's important to drink enough fluids. However, avoid excessive liquid intake as it might counteract the effect of the medicine. Consulting your doctor about an appropriate level of fluid intake is recommended.
