Dronis 20 Tablet is used as an oral contraceptive to prevent unwanted pregnancy and to help regulate irregular menstrual cycles. It may also help manage symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), such as acne and excess hair growth.
It is a combined hormonal contraceptive that works by preventing ovulation. Take this tablet as prescribed, at the same time each day, following the schedule given by your doctor. If you miss a dose, follow your doctor's instructions on what to do next.
This medicine does not protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted infections, so barrier protection is still needed for that purpose. Maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding smoking can help reduce the risk of blood clots while taking hormonal contraceptives.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, heart disease, migraine with aura, or hormone-related cancers. It is not suitable if you smoke and are over 35 years of age. Seek immediate medical advice if you experience leg pain, chest pain, severe headaches, or vision changes while on this medicine.
