Diclofen Injection 3ml

Diclofen Injection 3ml is used for:

• Short-term relief of severe headaches, including migraines

• Easing muscle aches, strains and sprains

• Managing pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis flare-ups

• Controlling pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis flare-ups

• Relief from gout and ankylosing spondylitis flare-ups

• Managing post-operative and post-traumatic pain

• Alleviating renal colic and biliary colic

• Managing dysmenorrhoea, also known as painful menstruation.

• This medicine is to be administered by a healthcare professional only.

• It can be injected deep into the gluteal muscle (in the buttock area), under the skin (subcutaneously), or directly into a vein (intravenously).

Diclofen Injection 3ml is administered either intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously.

Diclofen Injection 3ml contains Diclofenac (25 mg), which has the following mechanism of action:

• Inhibition of Prostaglandin Synthesis: Diclofenac blocks cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. These enzymes are responsible for creating prostaglandins - lipid compounds that mediate pain, inflammation and fever.

• Analgesic Effect: By reducing prostaglandin synthesis, diclofenac effectively decreases pain signals at sites of injury or inflammation.

• Anti-Inflammatory Effect: The reduction in prostaglandin synthesis also decreases capillary dilation and permeability at inflamed sites.

• Antipyretic Effect: Diclofenac can help manage fever symptoms by inhibiting the production of fever-inducing prostaglandins.

• Keep it away from light to prevent degradation.

• Do not refrigerate or freeze the medicine, as extreme temperatures can affect its potency.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion.

• Intake a balanced diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids found in fish and walnuts, as they are known to reduce inflammation.
