Cytogard OD Capsule is used to manage angina pectoris (chest pain), prevent future angina attacks, and reduce the frequency of episodes. It improves exercise capacity and quality of life, enabling patients to engage in physical activities without chest pain or discomfort.

• Follow your doctor's instructions for the dosage and duration of Cytogard OD Capsule.
• Take it all in at once.
• It should not be chewed, crushed or broken.
• Always take this medicine with food, it is best if you take it at the same time every day.

Cytogard OD Capsule is taken orally.

Cytogard OD Capsule consists of trimetazidine (60 mg), which works as follows:

• Optimises Energy Metabolism: Trimetazidine enhances energy utilisation in heart cells. It switches the energy metabolism from fatty acid oxidation to glucose oxidation, resulting in increased energy utilisation.
• Prevents Intracellular Energy Depletion: By optimising energy metabolism, Trimetazidine blocks a drop in intracellular energy during ischemia, which is a condition characterised by reduced blood flow.
• Protects Heart Cells: The medicine helps to protect heart cells from reduced oxygen supply during ischemic conditions,by maintaining proper heart function and reducing symptoms related to angina.

• Store your Cytogard OD Capsule in a dry place. Ideal temperature for storage is below 30°C.
• Protect the medicine from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep Cytogard OD Capsule out of reach of children to avoid possibilities of accidental ingestion.
