Cuflift Junior Syrup is used in children to relieve productive (wet) cough and chest congestion associated with respiratory conditions where thick mucus, difficulty clearing phlegm and narrowing of the airways occur. It is a combination medicine containing ambroxol, guaifenesin and terbutaline. Ambroxol is a mucolytic, guaifenesin is an expectorant and terbutaline is a bronchodilator.
A productive cough produces mucus or phlegm from the respiratory tract. This medicine helps thin and loosen thick mucus, makes it easier for the child to cough out phlegm and relaxes the airway muscles to make breathing easier.
Encourage your child to drink adequate fluids and get sufficient rest during recovery. Keep the child away from cigarette smoke, dust and other substances that may worsen coughing or breathing problems.
Before giving this medicine, tell the doctor about your child's medical conditions and allergies. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products your child takes. Report persistent or serious side effects to the doctor. Do not stop giving the medicine unless the doctor advises you to do so.
