CREVAST CV 10 CAPSULE 15 is used to lower the risk of heart attacks, angina and strokes in adults with high cholesterol and narrowed or hardened arteries (atherosclerosis), particularly after heart procedures such as stenting or angioplasty.
It contains rosuvastatin and clopidogrel, a statin and an antiplatelet medicine. Rosuvastatin lowers harmful LDL cholesterol, while clopidogrel reduces the tendency of blood to clot, helping keep blood flowing. Swallow the capsule as directed by your doctor, continuing even if you feel well.
A heart-healthy lifestyle supports treatment: a diet low in saturated fat, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, quitting smoking and limiting alcohol.
Tell your doctor about any liver problems, bleeding problems, stomach ulcers, or other medicines you take before starting. Because it makes bleeding more likely, report any unusual bleeding, and mention persistent muscle pain or weakness. Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice, which can affect this medicine.
