Coversyl 2mg Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It also helps reduce the risk of heart attack in people with stable coronary artery disease.
It contains perindopril, an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Take it at the same time each day as prescribed, usually in the morning before food. Continue taking it even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Reducing salt intake, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and avoiding potassium supplements or salt substitutes without medical advice support safe blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems before starting this medicine, and attend regular check-ups to monitor your kidney function and blood potassium levels. Report a persistent dry cough, swelling of the face or throat, or severe dizziness immediately. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, as this medicine is not suitable during pregnancy.
